Effective Immediately - Surcharge Update

View all posts

Dear Customers,

Please note the following changes effective immediately for departures with regard to the Emergency Fuel Surcharge that was implemented in April as well as the Peak Season Surcharge announced in June.

Emergency Fuel Surcharge (EFS)

Our ocean carrier partners have discontinued the EFS for ocean freight as of July 1. Q3 BAF rates have been adjusted to reflect the increased fuel costs from the Strait of Hormuz conflict, which had been the driving force for the April fuel surcharge.
A residual Emergency Fuel Surcharge remains in place for domestic trucking and consolidation, effectively lowering the per-case rate from $1.50 to $1.00 per 9L case.

Peak Season Surcharge (PSS)

Additionally, we are please to share that the PSS has been rescinded and will no longer apply to Mediterranean departures, which had been intended for July 1 bookings.

If you have questions regarding any recent communications on surcharges, please reach out to answer@Elysiaships.com
